Spearheaded by CORE Treatment Services, the Resiliency Initiative was created by a partnership of Wisconsin-based nonprofits, agencies, and businesses in response to the growing problem of substance use disorder and mental health concerns in the community. This was the genesis of what is now CORE Consulting.
The initiative recognizes that these issues are often interconnected, and that people who are struggling with a single health issue are more likely to struggle with the others. The Resiliency Initiative aims to address all of these issues in a comprehensive way, in order to help people achieve long-term recovery.
The Community Resiliency Initiative is a program designed to provide wrap-around care for community members struggling with substance use disorder, mental health concerns, and other co-occurring issues. The program provides access to treatment, sober living, peer support and other supportive services.
CORE Treatment Services provides comprehensive consulting to build healthy and resilient communities across Wisconsin, drawing on a wealth of experience and partnerships to enhance the capacity of local organizations. The consulting services offered by CORE focus on implementing evidence-based practices and innovative solutions to address the challenges of substance use disorder (SUD), mental health issues, and poverty in rural areas.
CORE’s consulting services play a vital role in the CRI by helping local organizations implement evidence-based practices and innovative solutions. These services include developing integrated care systems, advocating for policy changes to support sustainable funding models, and implementing data-driven interventions. CORE also provides training and resources to enhance the capacity of local organizations, ensuring they can effectively support individuals in recovery and promote community resilience. This is a universal approach to developing a tailored approach to each community.
The RCI score is a number from 1 to 100, with a higher score indicating a greater level of resiliency capital. The Resiliency Initiative uses the RCI to track clients’ progress over time and to identify areas where they may need additional support. The RCI can also be used to tailor interventions to meet the individual needs of each client. This tool is invaluable to understanding the underlying problems in the community and addressing them in an evidenced-based way to deliver measurable outcomes that influence future interventions. for understanding the underlying problems in the community and addressing them in an evidence
CORE can engage a community or organization in a managed service model after consulting by transitioning from an advisory role to providing ongoing business development and operational oversight. This model involves taking responsibility for the day-to-day management and strategic operations, including the implementation of the recommended programs and services. Our team works closely with local leaders to establish sustainable practices, ensuring that operational objectives are met and adapted as necessary. We provide expertise in areas such as financial management, staff training, program evaluation, and stakeholder communication, creating a structured framework that supports continuous improvement and scalability. This managed service approach helps maintain momentum from the initial consultation phase, fostering long-term resilience and success through hands-on involvement and leadership.
